The year is flying by and summer will be here soon! We’re here to help you plan for all the different summer camps taking place right here in DTO. The Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts has six different sessions of theater camps happening for youth ages 6-19. Additionally, the Orange County Regional History Center is holding an Adventures in History summer camp program from May 30 to August 4 for youth ages 6-11. This camp provides a safe and fun learning environment that combines cool historic facts with STEAM content.

Creative Core is also hosting art camps for several weeks that for children ages 3-10.

  • “Art Start” is a beginner's class to explore the creative process.
  • “Sun Art,” uses sunlight to help make unique nature prints.
  • “Mixed Media” mixes it up by combining traditional and unused materials to create unique works of art by offering a playful focus on design and exploration.
  •  “Drawing and Painting” is for the young ones who enjoy directed drawing.

Page 15 is hosting a Young Writers summer camp at Dr. Phillips Academic Commons for several weeks in June & July for rising 3rd through 12th graders.
