Last week, the Parramore District officially became an Orlando Main Street with approval from Mayor Dyer and City Commissioners at City Council. As an Orlando Main Street district, business owners in the Parramore District have access to new business incentive programs and funding for beautification projects in the commercial area making the Parramore business district an attractive location for shopping and dining at small businesses infused with tradition and culture. The addition of the Parramore District to the Orlando Main Streets program furthers the city’s efforts to preserve and celebrate the more than 140-year-old Parramore neighborhood and bring awareness to the rich, deeply rooted culture of the African American community in Orlando. Parramore District is home to a diverse collection of historic buildings, businesses, and community spaces including Foodies Café, Nikki’s Place, Neu Blooms, Broken Strings Brewery, SonJae's Hair and Beauty Bar, J. Henry’s Barbershop, Blue Swan Boulders, Wells’Built Museum, and more.
