The City of Orlando’s Downtown Development Board/Community Redevelopment Agency continues to support businesses as they adjust their operations responsibly in response to COVID-19. Earlier this week, City Council voted to extend several COVID-19 recovery initiatives. Park DTO Residents and visitors can continue to enjoy on-street parking and garage parking inside specific City of Orlando garages for free through September 1 while dining and shopping. Parking stickers are available to customers dining and shopping at eligible and participating downtown businesses. Interested in having your business participate? Eligible downtown businesses are able to request an inventory of 3-hour parking stickers that provide free validated parking for guests shopping, dining, or patronizing their business when they park in the below City of Orlando garages:
Complete the online request form to request parking validation stickers. Expand Operational Space and Marketing The City of Orlando is providing opportunities for businesses to temporarily expand their operational space and market their businesses outside, without the need to obtain city permits or pay any fees. These opportunities include allowing businesses to expand retail sales and restaurant seating outdoors, utilizing small farmer’s market style tents, and the allow the use of extra banners and signage for marketing. This program is extended until August 1, 2021. Extending Downtown Parklet Program Parklets allow downtown businesses to expand their retail sales and restaurant seating operations into adjacent on-street public parking spaces. This temporary parklet program supplements the city’s initiatives to support local businesses on their path to economic recovery while fighting the pandemic. Any restaurant or retail business within the Community Redevelopment Agency with adjacent on-street parking spaces on city right-of-way is eligible to apply. Extending Osceola Circle Open-Air Hospitality Thornton Park Main Street can continue to hold special events in the Osceola "Circle" next to Lake Eola Park until August 1.
