Created by Special Act of the Florida Legislature in 1971, the Downtown Development Board (DDB) serves to strengthen the role of downtown Orlando as the economic, governmental, and cultural center of Central Florida. This year, the DDB is celebrating 50 years of creating exciting experiences and new developments that keep people coming back to discover downtown Orlando.
To commemorate the rich history of downtown Orlando, the DDB is hosting an exhibit, Elevating DTO – 50 Years and Rising, at CityArts now until August 15. The artwork on display will focus on the phases of growth, collaboration, innovation, and changing landscape of downtown Orlando over the past 50 years.
CityArts is open from 11 am to 6 pm, Tuesday - Sunday.
