DTO Sculpture to Commemorate DDB's 50th Anniversary
DTO Sculpture to Commemorate DDB's 50th Anniversary
Last updated on May 19, 2021
Less than two years ago, the Downtown Orlando Information Center was completely re-imagined, newly renovated, and renamed
Discover Downtown
. The renovation nearly doubled the size of the center, bringing it to 3,800 square feet. Among the new features are merchandise for sale by local makers, a 30-foot-high original mural by local artist, Boy Kong, and more. Adding to the new features, we recently installed an 8 foot, light up “DTO” sculpture.
Installed to commemorate the Downtown Development Board’s 50th Anniversary, the DTO sculpture – abbreviated for downtown Orlando – creates an iconic point of interest for residents and visitors alike. This art installation celebrates downtown and serves as a selfie inducing moment. Creating visual art like the DTO sculpture supports the downtown Orlando vision plan of enhancing open spaces.
