After months of closure and cancellations, the Amway Center and Camping World Stadium opened its doors for sports. Amway Center reopened on December 29 for a professional hockey game between the Orlando Solar Bears and the Jacksonville Icemen. Camping World Stadium hosted 3 bowl games, the Cure Bowl, Cheez-It Bowl, and Vrbo Citrus Bowl. The Amway Center and Camping World Stadium are working diligently to ensure the safety of guests. The Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC), a division of the International Sanitary Supply Association (ISSA), the worldwide cleaning industry association, recently announced that Amway Center and Camping World Stadium has earned its GBAC STAR™ Facility Accreditation following a comprehensive 20-element program. This certification serves as the gold standard for venues and the program is designed to help facilities establish and maintain detailed best practices, protocols, and procedures on cleaning, disinfection, and infectious disease prevention associated with infectious agents like COVID-19.
