Have you seen the new trees on Pine Street? The City of Orlando’s Community Redevelopment Agency recently planted some Japanese Blueberry trees (not edible!), Bottlebrush trees, and Eagleston Holly trees as part of our tree pilot program. Over the next 16-18 months, we’re going to size up how these trees perform in our urban environment and how we can continue to grow our canopy throughout DTO.
As part of Project DTO 2.0, we’re working towards a cleaner, greener, and cooler (hello Florida heat) sidewalk space for everyone to enjoy. Our goal is to increase shade coverage throughout downtown. To learn more about ProjectDTO 2.0 and get engaged, visit ProjectDTO.com.
