The Cure Bowl is more than a game, it’s also a platform to help raise funds for cancer research and promote awareness. Since 2015, the Cure Bowl has provided a platform to raise $3.8 million for cancer research and has helped put Orlando at the center of some of the world’s greatest advancements in cancer science. The Orlando community has benefited from the funds generated at the game, with local researcher Dr. Annette Khaled at the UCF College of Medicine receiving more than $1.2 million of the funds distributed. This game will take place at Exploria Stadium on December 16 with a battle between the University of Connecticut and Coastal Carolina.
Before the big game, help turn Church Street pink with the annual March2Cure parade, honoring local cancer thrivers. The parade is set for 1 pm and runs from Historic Church Street Station to the Cure Bowl Fan Fest at Exploria Stadium. The parade is full of fun with bands, mascots, community leaders, cancer thrivers, and Central Florida Nonprofits. The Cheez-It Bowl matches top teams from the Atlantic Coast Conference and the Big 12 Conference. FSU and Oklahoma will meet up at 5:30pm on December 29 at Camping World Stadium, and the game will also be broadcast on ESPN.
The 2023 Cheez-It Citrus Bowl is at 1 pm on January 2 at Camping World Stadium. The matchup will pit Purdue from the Big Ten Conference against the Southeastern Conference’s Louisiana State University and will be televised on ABC.
