Every year, downtown Orlando hosts more than 1,200 events spanning performing arts, live music, outdoor festivals, and 100+ regular season home games by five professional sports teams. And while you can’t accurately measure all the heart-stopping, game-changing moments, you can count on downtown Orlando for your ticket to the best year-round sports and entertainment.

Basketball

Come on and slam with the Orlando Magic at the Kia Center, a 20,000 seat arena. The Orlando Magic was established in 1985 by Shaquille O’Neal, Penny Hardaway, and Grand Tracy that played for the club throughout the early years of the magic.

During the games, you will be cheering with fan favorite mascot, Stuff the Magic Dragon. Stuff lives in the Dragon’s Lair at the Kia Center and has his own area, “Stuff’s Magic Castle”.

The NBA season is from October to May, with the playoffs beginning in June. Click here to view the Orlando Magic schedule. 

Soccer

Since 2013, Orlando City has found a special place in the hearts of many local Orlandoans. The opening of the team’s own soccer stadium in 2018, INTER&Co. Stadium, has taken going to an Orlando City game to a whole new level.

The Orlando Pride joined the National Women’s Soccer League in 2015 and is affiliated with Orlando City. At Orlando Pride Games, you will ROARlando during the games and cheer on the women as they achieve victory.

If you consider yourself a HUGE soccer fan, you must join The Ruckus. Founded in 2010, it is Orlando’s first official independent support club .

The Orlando Pride and Orlando City season begins in March and ends in November.

Hockey

Bundle up and get ready to chant “Solar Bears Goal” for game time with the Orlando Solar Bears. The Orlando Solar Bears are a professional ice hockey team that plays at Kia Center.

Their season starts in December and ends in February. View their upcoming games here

Football

Touchdown at Orlando’s downtown venues during some of the biggest college bowl games in December and January.
