What's Up Downtown: 50 Years and Rising

Over the past fifty years, downtown Orlando’s growth has become a national model in showcasing how municipalities, community partners, and business leaders can execute a shared vision for a 21st century city. The Downtown Development Board (DDB) is proud to be serving the downtown community for 50 years.

Join us on Thursday, September 30 as we continue our 50th anniversary celebration with a panel discussion focusing on the past, present, and future of downtown Orlando. Jennifer Quigley, Vice President at WBQ Design & Engineering, Inc and former DDB Board Chair, will serve as moderator. Joining us on the panel to discuss downtown’s past and future trajectory will be:

  • Thomas C. Chatmon, Jr., DDB/CRA Executive Director
  • Frank Billingsley, Director of Placemaking and Competitiveness, former DDB Executive Director, 2002 – 2006
  • Thomas R. Kohler, Senior Principal at Real Estate Research Consultants, Inc, former DDB Executive Director, 1979 - 2002
