The Motherland
ESOR Dance Ensemble is a culturally-diverse group, withdancers representing several countries. Their 2021 dance season will showcase that even in our differences, we are all one. “Our species is an African one: Africa is where we first evolved, and where we have spent the majority of our time on Earth” (2020 National Geographic Partners). Humanity's ancestors migrated from their African homeland to populate Earth tens of thousands of years ago.
ESOR Dance Ensemble's presentation of The Motherland will showcase a diverse group of dancers portraying the connection to Africa, the Motherland, as well as how present cultures and ways are influenced by where we came from. Join ESOR as they feature, through a unique blend of music, costumes, dance movements and narrative, the place where we all originated—AFRICA!
