Thistimeless and cherished tale is set to Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's sweeping, opulent music and choreographed by Christopher Stowell who draws inspiration from Marius Petipa’s original classic from 1890. The ballet is knownfor its challenging choreography as exemplified by the famous and difficult Rose Adagio, when, on her 16th birthday, Princess Aurora slowly and gracefully dances among four suitors, creating one of the ballet’s most anticipated and iconic moments.
