The Friends of Koto will perform traditional 17th century music along with modern pieces on the Japanese stringed instrument, the koto. See the Friends of Koto perform with this beautiful instrument while dressed in traditional Kimono. This performance will be accompanied by a lecture on the koto’s rich history. You will hear the 17 string koto, a bass variation on the 13 sting koto.
