Soak in one of the most promising voices in the international music scene today. Los Angeles-based pianist and composer Javier Santiago has performed with jazz legends like Herbie Hancock, Terrace Martin and Louis Cole and has become a notable force in the beat, hip-hop and jazz worlds. His debut album Phoenix was awarded #1 Jazz Album of the Year by Vinyl Me, Please.

In addition to pianist and sideman, Santiago is an accomplished educator, arranger and producer/beatmaker. An alumnus of The Herbie Hancock Institute (UCLA), The Brubeck Institute Fellowship Program and The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in NYC, he was a finalist in the 2015 American Jazz Pianist competition and a recipient of the 2016 McKnight Fellowship for Musicians.

This exciting show is presented by the Orlando Jazz Collective as part of the 2024 Jazz Series, supported by Tito's Handmade Vodka and Elder Law P.A.
