Meet longtime Orlando DJ and club owner John Gardner (Faith in Physics, Beach Club, Barbarella, Independent Bar) as he joins Jeremy Hileman, History Center assistant curator, to offer his perspective about our latest exhibition, Figurehead: Music & Mayhem in Orlando’s Underground. The two will talk about topics including Gardner’s long-running residency,spinning at his Orange Avenue nightclub, as well as the dance-music scene of the 1980s and ’90s. Gardner will also sharestories of legendary rock shows that took place at his venue, including the Smashing Pumpkins and The Flaming Lips.
