SunRail is a 61.5-mile, 17-stop commuter rail system that connects the City of Orlando and Volusia, Seminole, and Orange counties. Ridership has averaged 3,800 daily boardings since the start of service. The system includes five stops in Orlando, four are located in the greater downtown area. Phase 1 opened in May 1, 2014 and consists of 32 miles of track that connects DeBary to Sand Lake Road. Phase 2 links Osceola County utilizing existing railroad tracks which extend the system north from DeBary to DeLand. The southern expansion was completed and four additional stops opened on July 30, 2018.
