DDB Executive Director Thomas Chatmon's Welcome

Photo of Executive Director Thomas Chatmon of the Downtown Development Board of OrlandoOn behalf of the Downtown Development Board and Community Redevelopment Agency, I would like to welcome you to Downtown Orlando!  We're glad you have chosen Florida's most dynamic area for your business operations, lifestyle needs, entertainment pleasure or relaxing visit.  Whatever your reason for coming to the area and visiting our site, we are here to make the experience the best it can possibly be.

There are unparalleled opportunities available in Downtown.  Where else can you walk to the bank, run to the post office, stop by the library, dine at an outdoor cafe and catch an afternoon concert all just minutes from your place of business, residence or hotel?  Our website is also a great place to learn about the many happenings in Downtown; be that an event, up to the minute news or deals throughout the area’s core.

Please feel free to drop by our office, call if you need assistance of any kind, or have questions about Downtown Orlando. We are here to assist you.  Also, no matter if you are a new business, resident or visiting the area we invite you to join us at our monthly orientation session - What's Up Downtown! This event is an exciting overview of the developments and events in Downtown Orlando for residents, businesses and others living and working in our region.  It’s held on the 1st Thursday of each month at 8:30 AM at the Downtown Information Center located at 201 S. Orange Avenue, Suite 102 at the corner of South Orange Avenue and Church Street. Please contact our Downtown Information Center Manager, Char Midkiff, at 407.246.2555 to reserve a seat.

Once again welcome, to Downtown Orlando and DowntownOrlando.com.  As always, we appreciate your support and interest as we continue working together to make Downtown Orlando – “Everyone’s Downtown”.

Respectfully,

Thomas Chatmon, Executive Director
